Frequently Asked Questions About Cold Brew Concentrate

How big is the bottle?

Each bottle contains 32 fl oz of Cold Brew Concentrate and makes up to 64 fl oz (16 4 oz cups) when mixed 1:1 with water or milk.

Concentrate vs. Ready-to-Drink: What's the Difference?

Cold Brew Concentrate is brewed stronger than regular cold brew and is meant to be diluted before drinking. Simply mix equal parts concentrate with water or milk to create your perfect cup.

Ready-to-Drink Cold Brew is already diluted and can be consumed straight from the bottle.

Because it's concentrated, one bottle of our Cold Brew Concentrate makes up to 64 fl oz, giving you more coffee, more flexibility than most ready-to-drink options.

Does it need refrigeration?

Shelf stable until opened. Once opened, refrigerate and use within 10 days for peak flavor.

How long does it last after opening?

Once opened use within 10 days for peak flavor.

How should I store it?

Before opening you can store it in a cool, dry area for up to one year.

What's the difference between Iced Coffee and Cold Brew?

Although they're both served cold, they're made differently.

Iced coffee is brewed with hot water and then cooled over ice. This brewing method creates a brighter, more acidic flavor.

Cold brew is steeped slowly in cold water for an extended period, producing a naturally smoother, less acidic coffee with a rich, balanced taste.

    Really great cold brew

I’ve traditionally made my own cold brew at home using an overnight brewing method, so I wasn’t necessarily expecting a ready-made option to improve on what I was used to. Horn & Hardart completely changed my mind. The flavor is excellent - smooth, rich, and genuinely better tasting than the cold brew I’ve been making myself.

I also really like the flexibility and convenience. I typically start with a simple one-to-one ratio and can easily adjust the strength depending on how I want it that day. It takes all of the work out of making cold brew while still giving me control over the final cup.

I’ve tried several other cold brew coffees and concentrates, and many of them simply don’t taste very good. Horn & Hardart is different. It’s remarkably easy to prepare, but more importantly, it just tastes great. This has quickly become my preferred way to make cold coffee.

    My new favorite morning coffee

I absolutely love this cold brew. It’s incredibly smooth, rich, and flavorful without the bitterness I sometimes get from cold brew. Honestly, I like it so much that I usually drink it straight—even though it’s a concentrate!

One of my favorite ways to start the morning lately has been pouring a cup and taking it outside with me while I tend to my flower garden. There’s something pretty perfect about a great cup of coffee, a quiet morning, and a little time among the flowers.

Between the smooth flavor and how easy it is to pour a cup and head outside, this has become one of those little things I genuinely look forward to in the morning.

    Excellent!

This cold brew concentrate was excellent! I poured it over ice with a splash of milk, and it was smooth and flavorful. It has a bold and balanced coffee taste that would pair perfectly with flavorings like vanilla or caramel for a fun twist. I’ll definitely be enjoying it again!

    Concentrate Convert

I love cold brew but making it overnight is always a hassle and buying it ready made in the store I could never find one the strength I like (either too watery or too strong). I have been drinking H&H medium roast coffee for awhile and decided to give this a try. It did not disappoint! I really like that I could customize the strength and ended up making it more like 2 to 1, using a bit more water than concentrate.

    Smooth, conveient, good value

My wife loved this. She said it tasked like real coffee and was more convenient than brewing hot coffee then trying to cool it down. All the other cold brew methods just added more work.
